The House of the Spirits (Isabel Allende)

this is one of my favorite books I’ve ever read. It’s an intergenerational epic. It’s really beautiful and engrossing and very funny and shows the sweep of time and human life and politics and it’s really stayed with me. Allende channeled something wild with this book.
